If you’re looking for a fresh, cheap slice after class, swing by Canyon Crest’s newest pizzeria. Slice House by Tony Gemignani held its grand opening on May 17, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tony, a 13-time world pizza champion, has shared his love of pizza through this restaurant by offering daily slices, including favorites like pepperoni and cheese, and a rotating special slice.
This Slice House is only the second in the Inland Empire, along with the location in Eastvale. The emphasis of this new location is the affordability and quality of the pizza, making the food with fresh ingredients daily while keeping prices low. Prices for a slice range from $5.25 to $7.25
Derrian, a University of California, Riverside (UCR) student, noted that having “another new pizza place that goes by the slice seems exciting, because all the places around UCR just do whole pizzas.”
Other guests expressed their excitement to participate in the various giveaways, especially the chance to enter a raffle to win free pizza for an entire year. Other giveaways included a Slice House t-shirt giveaway for the first 50 guests and a free slice card redeemable at a future visit for the first 100 guests.
The store also wants to emphasize that after the first month of being open, they will offer fundraising opportunities for UCR organizations, giving 20 percent back to organizations for transactions. They plan to engage with UCR students for potential fundraising events and aim to spread awareness about their affordable pizza options.
