What is the meaning of diversity?
Is it the different cultures and races in the same place?
Is it the image that shows no face?
Is it the likelihood of Asians, African Americans, and Hispanics in each place?
Is it the weirdness of seeing a person that’s not Hispanic in the same place you play?
Only if they knew what I see every day
My eyes wondering on a club just for them
Another for culture that happens to only be filled with Chinese food,
And other foods exactly the same
Is diversity, eating at the same table but feet away?
I may not be of their culture, color or race
Might not speak the phrases, or look the same way
But why do we treat each other
As if we don’t need to breathe, and eat
All the same
So what is diversity?
If I may ask
If there is no one that will accept the equality
Of simply their category, race or flag
