improve California’s access to physicians, Roth has fought to get UC Riverside its school of medicine and also assisted in the push to bring the Air Resources Board offices and lab to UCR.

As a long-time veteran, Roth’s campaign centered prominently around the needs of veterans and law enforcement, while also targeting small businesses and the disabled.

As his challenger, Reed’s views on strengthening the local economy and job growth were in alignment with Roth’s.

Roth was first elected in November of 2012 and formerly served as a major general in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 2007.
